Blue Sky Luncheon Friday, March 2, 2012 By invitation only.
Plan to attend the 2nd Blue Sky Luncheon to learn about A Legacy of Giving, an innovative, academic-based philanthropy education program that is currently reaching over 7,500 K-12 students in 33 public and private schools in Austin. Legacy empowers school children to be engaged in their communities and world and teaches all children, regardless of their economic situation, that they have the gifts of time and talent, the true treasure needed to improve their world as philanthropists.

News Pre-Thanksgiving Donation Drive Motivates Students to Become Givers On Wednesday, November 23rd, a group of Austin’s finest educators and young philanthropists gathered for Legacy’s 3rd Annual Day of Service to celebrate the impact of their advocacy in Greater Austin. This fall, our Legacy schools focused on poverty and those in need by collecting coats and non-perishable food. Student leaders, teachers, administration and parents from each Legacy school volunteered to unload their collections of coats and canned food. Capital Area Food Bank weighed a grand total of 45,010 lbs. of donated food and Coats for Kids counted 3,266 donated coats.
We are so proud of our Legacy students, together they have returned an economic equivalent of over $188,600 back to our community! Please consider a year end gift to support their on-going efforts with a contribution to keep this valuable program thriving. Donate now.
